Upon falling onto the beautiful, almost magical historical centre of Tropea during a road trip around Southern Italy’s coastal towns in Autumn 2025, we were captivated by the breathtaking sunset views, white sandy cove beaches, charming restaurants and thriving Italian tourist location. We quickly realised that we wanted to become part of the most welcoming Tropea community. When we asked locals for a trustworthy and reliable realtor, the services of Cristian Buttafuoco came up again and again. Cristian identified what we were looking for and showed us to a property in need of some renovation in the centre of town that was within our budget. We finalised in February 2026. Cristian held our hands throughout the whole process, going above and beyond to ensure every detail was covered and that we were comfortable at each stage. From helping to set up the required fiscal codes, finding a wonderful, dependable local lawyer, sourcing the notary, surveyor and builders to assisting in open a bank account and finally sorting out all the relevant utility services, Cristian made everything as simple and stress free for us as possible, especially as we do not speak Italian yet and are not familiar with Italian property laws and local regulations. He is 100% correct in his dealings, honest and most helpful. We cannot thank him enough or recommend him higher for the professional services he has provided and for his continued guidance in our new venture in Tropea.
