“holidays 01” We visited Tropea with a family of 5 for one week in the end of April, with a mild temperature of about 23 degrees Celcius. We had a very pleasant stay.
The house provides everything you need as a tourist, place to park the car, clean rooms, good beds, a complete kitchen, a nice balcony with view at the see and the Stromboli, and a garden with fruit trees and a beautiful view at the see, where you can have breakfase and enjoy the sun (and also have sufficient shadow, if needed).
Cristian Buttafuoco and his family were excellent hosts and were prepared to help is with any question, and spoiled us with fresh fruit from the garden and fresh-baked lemon-cookies. The house is in the hills and can be accessed via a rather small and steep road, but even with our large Opel Insigna that was really not a problem.
The center of the village and the beach can be reached by foot, which takes a 10-15min walk. Tropea is a very nice and friendly village. Other nice places to go to are Reggio Calabria, and Capo Vaticano.
